All About Glytone Beauty Products
Glytone's history began in 1943 when two pharmacists created skin care products in collaboration with a dermatologist that utilized free glycolic acid, which has many healthful benefits for the skin.
By 1984 the true benefits of glycolic acid were proven and the demand for products containing this ingredient was widespread. Genesis Pharmaceuticals saw that the market was composed of products containing the neutralized glycolic acid and not free glycolic acid, and they stepped in to fill the need for this superior substance. Their first product was the in-office peel sheer mask. This treatment proved wildly popular, and it was evident that a brand was need to fulfill the demand for more such products, and so Glytone came into existence as a brand.
Genesis acquired distribution rights for Wellskin, a brand that utilized Novasome technology, and which became Glytone Essentials in 2004.
In 2002 Glytone became a part of the Pierre Fabre group, a company that is known for its ethics, scientific standards, and passion for quality. Glytone is the only company in the United States to have been accepted into this prestigious organization.
In 2010, Glytone Beauty Products new line, Glytone Antioxidants, was created to reduce and diminish premature skin aging. Its top of the line ingredients, delta tocopheryl glucoside, THD ascorbate, and glycolic acid, were recognized as being a potent weapon in the quest for beautiful and younger looking skin. In the same year, Glytone also released a line of physician-designed products that helped to minimize signs of hyperpigmentation.
Glytone's next release was its non-irritating acne treatment for acne-prone yet sensitive skin in 2011. Later that year Glytone offered more effective peeling agents that worked with less trauma to the skin. The following year the innovative brand released a peel that can be used around the eyes to combat photo-aging and lines, with minimum irritation and maximum results, as well as a night cream that that had the added advantage of the new Peptide Complex.
