False Eyelashes: What They do and How to Apply Them

False eyelashes or eyelash extensions are a solution for women who consider their eyelashes to be too thin or whose eyelashes have thinned out due to age. Sometimes, a woman simply wants to add volume to perfectly adequate eyelashes for a special occasion or a night on the town.

False eyelashes can be bought as strips such a those offered by Endless Beauty Care, as flares and even as single eyelashes. Most women use strip lashes because they’re easy to find. They’re made of synthetic materials, silk, mink and can even be made out of human hair.

Many women, especially those who don’t wear false eyelashes frequently, might find them daunting to apply. But some tricks make applying false eyelashes easy and give a natural-looking result.

First, the wearer needs to curl her natural eyelashes. False eyelashes applied to straight eyelashes will also be straight and may look unnatural.

The best way to apply false eyelashes is to place a mirror on the dressing table and look down into it rather than trying to apply the lashes in the medicine chest mirror. This allows the wearer to see what she’s doing and is simply more comfortable.

The wearer should trim the strip lashes to be only as wide as her eyelid. Most false eyelashes are a bit too wide and are uncomfortable to wear if they're not trimmed.

The wearer should use an eyeliner pencil along the lash line of the upper eyelid. This allows them to see where the eyelashes are to be placed and is also forgiving if the lashes don’t line up exactly.

The wearer should apply glue along the band of the false eyelashes, and let it dry just enough to be tacky. Then, the false eyelashes should be placed right on top of the line made by the eyeliner and pushed right up against it. When the glue is completely dry, the wearer should put on a little mascara to help the false eyelashes blend in, and look more natural.
