How to Use Avene Water Misters
Facial water misters are among the most underrated and simultaneously useful of beauty products. The introduction of one into a daily routine adds less than five minutes to the morning, and the results are beautiful. Skin becomes rejuvenated and radiant.
An avene water mister is ideal for anybody wanting to be kind to their skin. The water comes from Avene Thermal springs, and acts as a moisturizing agent for dry, cracked, uneven, or bumpy skin.
There are a few different ways to use an Avene water mister to its full potential. The first and most traditional is simple:
1. Hold the product around six inches from your face and spray an even, thin coating.
2. Let the water sit for a minute, and then blot the remaining droplets away with a tissue or towel.
It's important to blot the excess away, because if left to sit, the water will evaporate and leave skin drier than it was before. Meanwhile, blotting lets the skin soak up the initial moisture without suffering the effects of evaporation.
This isn't the only way to use a water mister, however. A few less traditional methods can make the difference between glamour and suffocating dryness.
Use Under Moisturizer
Dermatologists recommend that body lotion and moisturizer be applied to damp skin. If the skin is damp, more moisture is locked in. Unless you've just exited the shower, your skin is probably dry before you apply daily moisturizer. Spritz the water onto your face before application and you'll see and feel results almost immediately.
Set Your Makeup
Surprisingly, facial misters can also be used to remove the powder finish from makeup. When finished applying your daily makeup as usual, spray a thin coat over your face to remove the powdery sheen. Be careful not to make your face dripping wet, though. A very light coat is all you need -- any more than that has the potential to ruin the effect of your makeup.
With the powder sheen gone, all that's left is healthy and glowing skin. People won't even be able to tell that you're wearing makeup.
